Kevin Castiglia was arrested after his parents and sister were found dead inside a home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, officials said.

The Investigation Begins

The investigation started with a wellbeing check on Jan. 24, 2026 after the boyfriend of Castiglia’s sister reported he had not heard from his girlfriend. He visited her Doylestown home on Jan. 25, 2026, but neither she nor her vehicle was present.

He then drove to the home of the girlfriend’s parents on Heather Road in Churchville around 6:30 p.m. on the same day. He saw her vehicle in the driveway, knocked several times, but the lights were off and no one answered. He left the property.

On Jan. 26, 2026 at about 2:15 p.m., he returned to the Churchville home and knocked again. He met Kevin Castiglia, who was wearing a robe. Castiglia told him his sister was likely on vacation and then threatened him, saying, “Don’t ever come here again or I will kill you,” and pointed a large “Psycho” type chef’s knife at him.

The boyfriend immediately called 911.

Police Response

Northampton Township Police arrived, knocked on the door, and called a number inside the home, but received no answer. They then called for Castiglia to come to the door.

Castiglia opened the door while wearing the robe and holding two knives, one of which police believed had blood on it. He spoke incoherently and did not answer questions about his family. He pointed the knives at officers, who used a stun gun. The device had little effect; Castiglia pulled the probes out, slammed the door, and locked it.

Officers heard stomping inside the home and contacted a tactical team.

Tactical Team Entry and Victims

The tactical team entered the house and found the body of a woman, believed to be Castiglia’s sister, in the kitchen. They also discovered the bodies of a man and woman, believed to be Castiglia’s parents, in the basement.

Castiglia had barricaded himself in a bedroom on the second floor, ignoring commands from the tactical team, and was eventually taken into custody.

Charges and Current Status

Castiglia faces charges of terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. He has not been charged with murder, and officials have not revealed how the three victims died. Online court records do not list an attorney for Castiglia.
