Four Eagles Listed as Non-Participants on Christmas Day Injury Report

On Christmas Day, the Philadelphia Eagles announced an estimated injury report that left four players listed as non-participants, raising questions about the team’s depth heading into the final stretch of the season.

Injury Report Details

The report, which was an estimation because the team did not hold a practice that day, listed the same four players who missed Wednesday’s practice as non-participants:

  • WR A.J. Brown – teeth
  • LB Nakobe Dean – hamstring
  • RT Lane Johnson – foot
  • LG Landon Dickerson – illness

Full-time players with injuries were also noted:

  • LB Zack Baun – hand
  • LB Jihaad Campbell – back/ankle
  • DT Jalen Carter – shoulders
  • OT Fred Johnson – calf
  • FB Cameron Latu – stinger
  • WR DeVonta Smith – illness
  • OT Cameron Williams – shoulder

Player Statuses

A.J. Brown had wisdom teeth removed this week and is expected to be ready for Sunday. Landon Dickerson, who has played through several injuries all season, also appears likely to return against the Bills. Lane Johnson will miss his sixth straight game with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot; the Eagles hope he will return for the playoffs. Fred Johnson is slated to make his sixth straight start.

Nakobe Dean suffered a hamstring injury in the first half against the Commanders and has not practiced this week. DC Vic Fangio called Dean “iffy” for the upcoming game. If Dean cannot play, rookie Jihaad Campbell will make his first start in two months.

Upcoming Practice and Game

The Eagles will practice on Friday afternoon before heading to Buffalo this weekend to face the Bills on Sunday. The team’s status updates will be clearer after Friday’s session.

Other Notes

Tyler Steen spoke to reporters in the Eagles locker room on Tuesday after being ejected in Week 16 against the Commanders for a fight in the fourth quarter.
