A SEPTA bus had to be towed off Interstate 76 early Wednesday after a pedestrian allegedly hurled a brick at the vehicle, shattering the windshield, according to agency officials.

Authorities said the bus was empty at the time of the attack. The driver, who was alone behind the wheel, escaped injury, avoiding what could have been a far more dangerous outcome.
