Lower Southampton Township officers responded to 146 Bustleton Pike after 911 calls reported a pedestrian struck by a car. They arrived to find the 29-year-old unconscious in the parking lot with severe facial and head injuries consistent with skull fractures and internal trauma.
Surveillance footage reviewed by detectives shows the white Volkswagen Jetta deliberately speeding toward five bystanders, striking the victim, two others, and two parked cars. The driver then circled the building, repeatedly targeting people who managed to jump clear, paused beside the injured man, and sped north on Bustleton Pike.
Suspect Identified
Police traced the damaged Jetta to 22-year-old Roba Gasitashvili of Philadelphia after locating the vehicle abandoned in the TJ Maxx lot on E. Street Rd, less than a mile away. The car had:
