In a brutal shooting that left a 19-year-old dead, two teenagers have been arrested and charged in Norristown.
The Incident
Police say the fatal shooting took place just after 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 on the 1000 block of Powell Street. Officers arrived to find 19-year-old Hamid Boyd with gunshot wounds and transported him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Surveillance and Suspect Identification
Investigators located surveillance footage that captured three men getting into a white sedan and driving away immediately after the shooting. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele explained that the three suspects were identified as Mark Fields, 18, an unnamed 17-year-old, and Ziyker Washington, 20.
All three are members of the gang known as “1200,” while Boyd was a member of the rival gang “The Ave.”
Pre-Shooting Tensions
Just two days before Boyd was shot, Washington posted a photo on his social media account. The image showed him holding a sign with the words “MAN F*** DA AVE” while standing behind the 17-year-old and Fields. After Boyd was killed, Washington allegedly deleted his account.
Arrests and Charges
Fields was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and other related offenses. He is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
The 17-year-old was arrested on Dec. 16 in Newark, New Jersey, on murder and other related charges and will be extradited to Montgomery County.
Washington remains wanted by authorities. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and related counts. He is described as standing five-feet-eight-inches tall, with brown eyes, black hair and weighing about 160 pounds.
